Riot Games has finalized the competitive map rotation for VALORANT Season V26, Act Five. With the arrival of Patch 13.04, the active pool now features seven maps designed to keep the competitive experience balanced and tactically diverse.
Current Competitive Map Pool
Players queuing for competitive matches in Season V26, Act Five will see the following maps in rotation:
- Haven: A classic three-site map that returned to the rotation in Act Three of this episode.
- Ascent: Returned to the pool in Patch 12.08 and remains unchanged.
- Split: Re-entered the rotation in Patch 11.08 after a brief period of absence.
- Sunset: Added back to the core rotation in Patch 13.00, marking the first time the agent Miks is available on this map in competitive play.
- Abyss: Re-introduced in Patch 13.04, maintaining the layout adjustments from Patch 11.08.
- Lotus: Currently back in the pool following Patch 12.05, which included balance adjustments to the A-site plant zone and wall penetration.
- Summit: A new two-site map introduced in Patch 13.00 that features destructible wall nodes to alter sightlines.
Inactive Maps
Maps currently removed from the competitive and deathmatch rotations include Bind, Breeze, Icebox, Corrode, Fracture, and Pearl. While these locations are unavailable in competitive play, they remain accessible within Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation queues.
What the Rotation Means for Players
The rotation system is intended to maintain tactical freshness by limiting the total number of competitive maps to seven. When a new map is introduced or an existing one is reworked, others are cycled out. Players should note that while some maps receive significant layout changes—such as the recent adjustments to Lotus’s A-site—others may return to the rotation without any modifications to their design or site geometry.
