The controversy stems from an internal LGD Gaming review into betting irregularities. TaiLung explained that while the organization initially found no suspicious activity on August 6, they later discovered an old Discord conversation. TaiLung maintains that the messages were jokes shared with a friend and do not constitute a betting agreement.
Addressing the incident where he discarded his phone during the organization's investigation, TaiLung stated that he acted out of fear after receiving a suspicious message from an unknown number. He apologized to his teammates for the distraction and the impact his removal has had on the squad, which has since replaced him with Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen for TI 2026.
TaiLung has formally requested that LGD and PGL disclose the evidence used to justify his suspension. He stated he is willing to provide full access to his financial records and accounts to clear his name, asserting that his focus in every match was to win.
