G2 Esports has signed a long-term partnership with Wizards of the Coast to feature different games from the publisher's portfolio on its Counter-Strike 2 jersey. Archetype Entertainment's upcoming sci-fi RPG Exodus claims the first spot on the kit, with other Wizards titles slated to replace it as the agreement continues.

Quick Facts

  • First Jersey Placement: Exodus debuted on the G2 CS2 jersey at the Esports World Cup on Aug. 12 during an opening match against M80.
  • Partnership Structure: A rotating format allows Wizards to promote different releases during the life of the deal, turning the jersey into a recurring advertising slot.
  • Exodus Release Window: Exodus launches in early 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

What the Deal Means for the G2 CS2 Kit

Unlike conventional esports jersey sponsorships that lock in a single brand for a multi-year term, the Wizards agreement introduces a rotating format. Neither company has disclosed how often the design will change or which Wizards property will follow Exodus.

Wizards owns major properties including Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons, alongside videogame studios like Archetype Entertainment, Invoke Studios, and Skeleton Key. While the initial announcement does not confirm whether Magic or Dungeons & Dragons will appear on future iterations of the kit, the rotation draws broadly from the wider Wizards portfolio.

Exodus Broadcast Debut

The Exodus-branded jersey received immediate broadcast exposure during G2's opening match at the Esports World Cup. G2 won the best-of-one 13-11 on Mirage against M80 at the tournament, which features 32 teams and a $2 million prize pool.

For Hasbro, Exodus represents a key pillar of its current videogame plans. The company previously noted that 2026 serves as its peak year for digital-game investment as Exodus and Invoke Studios' Warlock reach their final development stages.
