Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Control Resonant will launch on September 24, 2026, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The developer is positioning the title as a day-one purchase, backed by 1.5 million wishlists across all platforms.

Financial Outlook and Studio Strategy

In its recent half-year financial report for 2026, Remedy noted a decline in revenue and profit compared to the previous year. CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon attributed this to the absence of FBC: Firebreak, which had previously generated revenue through subscription service agreements and sales before receiving its final update in March 2026.

Despite the dip, the studio is moving forward with a self-publishing model for projects where it owns the intellectual property. The company is currently managing three distinct development tracks:

  • Control Resonant: Currently in the final stages of production with marketing efforts already underway.
  • Max Payne 1 & 2 Remakes: The project remains in active development.
  • New Unannounced Project: Remedy confirmed this project has reached "production readiness," though no further details were provided.

Market Positioning

Regarding Control Resonant, Gaudechon noted that the game is currently among the top three pre-ordered titles on PlayStation in the U.S., Germany, and Brazil. The studio believes the game's pricing and the current release window provide a competitive advantage for the title's launch.

While the studio continues to expand its "Remedy Connected Universe" through the Control and Alan Wake franchises, the exact nature of the studio's unannounced project remains unknown. Remedy has not confirmed if this new work is a sequel to Alan Wake or a further expansion within the Control series.
