A technical update for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands has officially arrived on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The patch, which went live at the beginning of August 2026, introduces visual and performance enhancements for players on current-gen hardware.
Quick Facts
- Xbox Series X: Targets 4K resolution with a 60FPS frame rate.
- Xbox Series S: Features a Quality Mode (1440p/30FPS) and a Performance Mode (1080p/60FPS).
- Availability: The upgraded version is playable now for all owners of the game.
- Trial: The title is featured in the Xbox Free Play Days event running August 6–9, 2026.
On Xbox Series X, the game now supports a 4K output, utilizing dynamic resolution scaling to maintain performance. Gameplay footage indicates that while the frame rate targets 60FPS, users may encounter occasional dips into the mid-50s during intensive sequences.
The Xbox Series S version provides two distinct graphical options. The Quality Mode prioritizes visual fidelity at a 1440p resolution locked at 30FPS, while the Performance Mode drops the resolution to 1080p to achieve a 60FPS target.
To mark the release of these enhancements, Ubisoft has discounted the game by 90% on the Xbox Store. Additionally, the title is part of the Xbox Free Play Days promotion, allowing users to access the game for free between August 6 and August 9, 2026.
