An exceptionally rare piece of Xbox hardware tied to FromSoftware's action RPG has surfaced online. To celebrate the 2019 release of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Xbox commissioned Takeoff Studios to build 12 custom consoles featuring a thematic design complete with a replica sword and display stand. Some units were distributed through PR events and competitions, leaving very few in circulation.

Over the weekend, an eBay seller operating under the handle neoframe listed one of these rare consoles with an asking price of $11,999. According to the listing details, the hardware has never been used and boots directly to the device setup screen when powered on. However, storage wear has affected the item: the lacquer finish on the four posts holding the sword has worn off to expose the underlying wood, the controller features two nicks on the right grip, and the hilt of the display sword appears to have been filled with hot glue prior to the seller acquiring it.

While neoframe stated they are open to offers, it remains to be seen whether a buyer will meet the steep price tag. Console variations data notes that a similar listing appeared briefly in 2023 before disappearing after four days, making public sales of this specific hardware an uncommon occurrence for collectors.
