Two additional titles have been confirmed as "day one" releases for Xbox Game Pass, rounding out the service's additions for August 2026. Both games will be available for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

New Additions to the Library
The first arrival is Blood Dungeon, a 2D platforming autoshooter developed by the creators of Nidhogg. Players navigate levels while collecting blood, gold, and bones to enhance their character's abilities against hordes of monsters.
Following later in the week is Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy. Serving as a prequel to the existing A Plague Tale series, the game follows a character named Sophia as she travels to the Minotaur’s Island to confront a mythical creature and investigate the origins of a curse.
As Gamescom 2026 is currently underway, there is a possibility of further unannounced additions or shadow drops for the service. Subscribers are encouraged to check the "newly added" section on their consoles throughout the week for updates.
