Two more retro games are joining the PlayStation 5 library this week, bringing a pair of arcade and console classics to Sony's current-gen console via Console Archives and Hamster's Arcade Archives. Scheduled for release on August 13, 2026, the drop includes Tecmo's fighting game Touki Denshou Angel Eyes and Technos' sports title V'Ball.

Touki Denshou Angel Eyes Comes Outside Japan for the First Time
Developed by Tecmo, the all-girl fighter Touki Denshou Angel Eyes originally launched in arcades in 1996 before receiving an expanded PlayStation 1 re-release in Japan in late 1997. The console version added distinct story content for each female character that was absent from the original arcade ROM.
While players have been able to purchase a version of the game on PS4 for several years, this week's release marks the first time the home version has been made available outside of Japan. The roster features notable fighters, including a combatant who fights with a stuffed bear, a biker, and a volleyball star.
V'Ball Arcade Archives Release
Coinciding with the PS1 release is Technos' 1998 arcade game V'Ball, also known as US Championship V'Ball in the United States and Super Spike V'Ball in Europe on the NES. Published via Hamster's Arcade Archives, the bundle includes both the American and Japanese ROMs.
While the American version features a larger roster of players, the Japanese ROM includes a narrative featuring beach bums George and Michael competing for a $250,000 prize. The campaign includes sequences where the characters visit a car dealership after each win to view increasingly expensive vehicles.
