PlayStation Plus subscribers have a packed month ahead, headlined by a rare day-one launch and a massive wave of additions across the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers. Leading the charge for August 2026 is Big Walk marking its arrival on the service the same day it launches.

Big Walk Headlines PlayStation Plus Essential
Subscribe to the cheapest tier of PS Plus, Essential, and you receive online play alongside at least three monthly games to add to your library for no additional charge. While claims must be made within the month, the games remain playable as long as your subscription stays active.
Headlining the August 4 Essential drop is Big Walk. Developed by the minds behind Untitled Goose Game it functions as a hangout game focused on exploration, messing around, and solving puzzles with friends. It represents a rare instance of a brand-new game releasing directly onto PlayStation Plus on day one.
Joining Big Walk on the Essential tier are Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition and the atmospheric retro-styled horror title Signalis.
Helldivers 2 and August Extra Additions
The middle tier of the subscription service receives a major expansion this month, anchored by the arrival of Helldivers 2 on August 12. Its addition coincides with developer Arrowhead Game Studios launching the Devoid of Liberty update. Up to four players can tackle cooperative shooter combat against alien threats with friendly fire permanently enabled.
Single-player additions arrive later in the month. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 joins the Extra catalog on August 18 alongside Vampire Survivors. A second wave lands on August 25, introducing Metro ExodusHell is Us and the management sim Two Point Museum.
Classics Catalog and Departing Games
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers gain access to two Classics Catalog additions on August 18: the PS2 action title Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams and Disney's Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Meanwhile, nine games leave the Extra library before the end of August. Players must purchase these titles to keep playing them once they depart. The departing list includes:
