Sony's recent announcement to cease producing game discs for PlayStation consoles starting in 2028 has ignited intense debate among players and collectors. But for former PlayStation Studios president and indie game ambassador Shuhei Yoshida, the industry-wide shift toward digital-only platforms isn't a big deal.

Speaking in an interview with GamerBraves, Yoshida revealed that he was unaware of PlayStation's specific plans to end disc production, but noted that the transition aligns entirely with his personal gaming habits. "I'm a totally digital consumer," Yoshida said. "I don't want to manage discs or swap discs. I want all my games on my dashboard, and I just select a game and play it. So, I'm completely digital."
