Ahead of its full release on August 6, 2026, Sony and Arc System Works are hosting a 72-hour open beta test for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. This walkthrough covers exact regional start times, how to download the client, and what characters and modes are included in the test.

1. Check the Start and End Times

The open beta begins on Friday, July 24, 2026, and concludes on Monday, July 27, 2026. Because the test runs globally for exactly 72 hours, check your regional timing below:

  • North America: Starts July 24 at 12am PDT / 1am MDT / 2am CDT / 3am EDT; ends July 27 at 11:59pm PDT / 12:59am MDT / 1:59am CDT / 2:59am EDT.
  • UK and Ireland: Starts July 24 at 8am BST; ends July 27 at 7:59am BST.
  • Europe: Starts July 24 at 9am CEST / 10am EEST; ends July 27 at 8:59am CEST / 9:59am EEST.
  • Asia and Oceania: Starts July 24 at 4pm JST / 3pm AWST / 5pm AEST; ends July 27 at 3:59pm JST / 2:59pm AWST / 4:59pm AEST.

2. Download the Open Beta Client

Participation is completely open to the public, meaning no registration codes or special sign-ups are required. To access the beta:

  1. Navigate to the PlayStation Store on your PS5, or open Steam or the Epic Games Store on your PC.
  2. Search for the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls open beta client.
  3. Download and install the software ahead of the server opening times.

3. Explore the Playable Characters and Stages

The beta gives players hands-on time with a large portion of the game's roster and environments. A total of 16 characters are selectable:

Matches can be played across six distinct stages: Knowhere, Marvel's New York (Day), Marvel's New York (Night), Savage Land, Wakanda, and the X-Mansion.

4. Try the Available Game Modes

You can test out online infrastructure, training tools, and initial single-player content during the 72-hour window. The beta features:

  • Online matches via Casual and Ranked queues
  • Local Versus matches
  • The Open Lobby online hub
  • Start Up Battle tutorials and Training Mode
  • Episode Mode (featuring the first 3 chapters of the Amazing Guardians storyline)
