Collector Box Contents and Pricing
Sony has officially announced the God of War Laufey Collector’s Box, a premium physical bundle designed for dedicated fans of the franchise. Pre-orders for this set opened on October 13, 2026, ahead of the scheduled release date of February 16, 2027. The package is priced at $149.99 USD / €149.99 / £129.99, positioning it as a high-end collectible item for PlayStation 5 owners. As reported by playstationlifestyle.net the set focuses on physical memorabilia rather than digital or software assets, catering to long-term followers who value tangible merchandise for display.
The contents of the box are curated to provide a premium experience for collectors. The centerpiece is a light-up resin statue, accompanied by a 51-card Oracle Deck and a Mini Artbook. These items are intended to serve as display pieces for fans of the series. Because the box is produced in limited quantities, interested buyers are encouraged to monitor official retail channels closely to secure their units before stock is depleted, a sentiment echoed by playstationlifestyle.net in their coverage of the announcement.
Important Purchase Considerations
A critical detail regarding this release is the absence of the game software. Prospective buyers must be aware that the Collector Box does not include the game itself, meaning the software must be purchased separately. This distinction is vital for those planning their budget for the February 2027 launch window. The following list details the physical items included in the bundle:
- Light-up resin statue: The primary display piece for the collection.
- 51-card Oracle Deck: A themed deck featuring series-specific artwork.
- Mini Artbook: A collection of visual designs and concept art.
The following table summarizes the key specifications for the upcoming release to help fans manage their expectations and budget accordingly:
| Feature | Details |
|---|---|
| Release Date | February 16, 2027 |
| Platform | PlayStation 5 |
| Software Included | No |
| Pre-order Start | October 13, 2026 |
| Retail Price | $149.99 USD / €149.99 / £129.99 |
Given that the game software is sold separately, fans should ensure they have accounted for the cost of the game in addition to the $149.99 price tag for the physical box set. This separation of hardware and software is a notable aspect of the current release strategy for the God of War Laufey edition, requiring players to make two distinct purchases to obtain both the physical collectibles and the game experience itself.
