Development Priorities
While Fallout 5 has entered the early stages of development, Bethesda emphasized that its immediate resources are tied to The Elder Scrolls 6. The studio stated that it is currently “playing it every day” and that the team is “where we planned to be” regarding the title's progress. Despite the confirmation that the game is moving forward, no specific release window was provided for the next chapter of the franchise.
Regarding the technology behind these projects, Bethesda noted that the implementation of Creation Engine 3 is intended to allow their teams to work on multiple projects simultaneously. The engine features new rendering tools and systems designed to define the studio's next generation of RPGs.
Expanded Fallout Projects
Beyond the internal development of Fallout 5, the franchise is seeing increased activity through external partnerships and re-releases.
