New Content and Features

Eternal War expands with the addition of Sanctum, which features fast routes to key engagement zones, and Facility, tailored for tight, outmaneuvering rotations. Alongside these arenas, weekly participation in PvP now rewards players with Accolades, which can be spent to unlock six new Heroic weapons—including versions of the Thunder Hammer, Power Fist, Bolt Carbine, Melta Rifle, Power Sword, and Stalker Bolt Rifle—alongside four Heroic armor parts.

For PvE players, the update introduces Trials of Resolve #2 with four new challenging Ordeals. Customization options expand with robes and tabards for the Assault and Tactical classes, earned through the new Ordeals. Additionally, Wargear 2.01 lays the groundwork for separate cosmetic slots, allowing tabards and capes to be equipped simultaneously starting in Patch 15.

Season Pass holders gain access to the Salamanders Champion skin with its signature Multi-Melta weapon skin, alongside the Raptors Cosmetic Pack.

Gameplay and Balance Tweaks

Eternal War sees a significant overhaul to accessibility: progression is completely removed, meaning all equipment and weapons are unlocked right from Level 1. Grenade parameters have also been adjusted, with the Shock Grenade's blindness radius and duration reduced, while Krak Grenades now reliably destroy the Heavy's Iron Halo.

In PvE modes, firearm damage receives targeted adjustments. The Heroic Bolt Pistol gains a 15% damage increase, Secondary Bolt Carbines receive two additional magazines of max ammo, and the Pyrecannon's range is extended by 15% in both stances. Burn damage mechanics are also updated, meaning Auspex Scan no longer affects burn status damage.

The Scarab Occult Terminator Sorcerer arrives as a new Terminus enemy for the Thousand Sons, bringing close and long-range magic attacks alongside illusions. Following player feedback from the Public Test Server (PTS), adjustments have been applied to balance its beam attacks, illusion health, and riposte windows.

Siege Mode Adjustments

Siege Mode receives several adjustments to economy and difficulty scaling. Base max income for the Tech Priest starts at 720 and gradually scales down to 300 by wave 30+. Wave completion and side objective resource rewards are increased by 20%, and the Enemy Damage Resistance Cap is raised to 72% for regular enemies and 88% for Terminus enemies on high waves. Accolade rewards for the mode are now distributed upon reaching wave 15 rather than surviving it.
