Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment have released the Confrontation Update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Marking the final content drop for the game's second year of post-launch support, the update introduces new arena maps for the Eternal War PvP mode, weekly challenges, an addition to cooperative PvE operations, and paid cosmetic packs.

PvP Additions and Eternal War Changes
While the cooperative mode has driven most player engagement since launch, the Confrontation Update aims to make the Eternal War PvP suite more active. Two new arena maps have been added to the rotation: Sanctum on Avarac and Facility on Demerium. These additions aim to expand the map pool and provide new angles and layouts for matches.
In addition to the maps, the update introduces weekly rewards and Ordeals. Eternal War participants can now complete Datavault challenges to earn exclusive accolades and cosmetics.
PvE Content and New Enemy
Cooperative operations receive a direct addition with a new Terminus enemy. Players tackling Chaos Operations and Siege mode will now encounter the Thousand Sons Scarab Occult Termination Sorcerer.
Paid Cosmetic DLCs
Alongside the free gameplay additions, two new cosmetic packs are now available for purchase. The Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Raptors Cosmetic Pack and the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 - Salamanders Champion Pack 2 offer additional faction customisation options for multiplayer modes.
Although the Confrontation Update wraps up the second year of content, Saber Interactive previously confirmed a third year of free updates and paid cosmetics for the game, extending the roadmap into 2027.
