Ubisoft has announced an Xbox console-to-PC program that grants players access to PC versions of select titles if they already own the digital versions on an Xbox console. Revealed via the Xbox Wire, the initiative covers 13 games across Ubisoft's catalog, allowing eligible players to access PC editions without paying an additional fee.
Quick Facts
- Program Launch: Began immediately for new digital purchases on Xbox, with a progressive rollout for existing owners starting August 4.
- Requirement: Players need the latest version of Ubisoft Connect installed on their PC to access the titles.
- Cross-Progression: Earned progress carries over to PC for games that support cross-progression, though in-game currencies and consumables do not transfer.
Supported Game List
The program applies to a specific roster of 13 Ubisoft titles. Digital owners on Xbox gain access to the PC versions of:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Far Cry 6
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
- Riders Republic
- Skull and Bones
- The Crew 2
- The Crew Motorfest
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
- Watch Dogs Legion
Rollout Schedule and Requirements
Players who purchase a digital version of any game on the list on Xbox will receive both the Xbox version and the PC version immediately. For existing digital owners, Xbox announced a progressive rollout period beginning August 4 to distribute the PC versions.
To play the PC versions through this program, users must install the latest version of Ubisoft Connect, available via ubisoft.com. Ubisoft noted that the program functions strictly as a one-way street: purchasing the PC version of a game does not unlock the Xbox edition.
