Three Branches, Three Operational Styles

The new content tasks players with mastering three specific lines, each with its own set of challenges:

  • Windsor Branch: Focuses on frequent shuttle services between Slough and Windsor & Eton Central, located near Windsor Castle.
  • Marlow Branch: Features an unusual turnback procedure at Bourne End and introduces the railway token system to the Train Sim World series.
  • Henley Branch: Offers a more relaxed countryside route passing through Wargrave and Shiplake toward Henley-on-Thames.

The environment includes detailed riverside scenery, animated river traffic, and reactive wildlife, all subject to seasonal changes. Players can navigate between these areas using the Fast Travel system or by using Route Hop to connect with the Great Western Express if they own that title.

Class 165 Turbo Networker Features

The route includes the 2-car Class 165 Turbo Networker. Compared to the previously released Class 166, this model features several technical upgrades:

  • Enhanced physics and handling
  • Improved night lighting
  • Expanded cab functionality
  • Full support for Livery Designer

Players looking for a deep dive into the development process can view the official livestream replay featuring Jan, Matt, and Johannes from Incredible Trains, who detail the work required to capture these specific lines.
