Season 11 of THE FINALS has officially launched, headlined by a trip to the stars and a major overhaul of the game's melee systems. The latest update, supported by in-game sponsor COMETA, introduces a new Arena, bot-supported matchmaking, and a revamped tutorial experience for new players.

Galaxy Estates and New Arenas

The centerpiece of this update is Galaxy Estates, a massive space habitat arena. The map features a retro-futuristic aesthetic, blending suburban neighborhoods with a central spaceport. Gameplay in this environment emphasizes verticality and movement, utilizing anti-gravity columns, speed tunnels, and destructible towers to shift the flow of combat. Galaxy Estates is available in Cashout, Ranked Cashout, Quick Cash, and Team Deathmatch modes.

Beyond the new map, the developers have expanded the rotation for existing game modes. Point Break is now available on the Las Vegas Stadium map, while Team Deathmatch has been added to the Monaco arena.

Melee Combat Rework

One of the most significant mechanical changes in update 11.0.0 is the complete rework of melee combat. The developers aimed to make melee a more viable playstyle while reducing frustration for opponents. The system now features:

  • Stamina: Controls lunge capability; attacks without stamina will not lunge. Stamina regenerates over time or through precise hits.
  • Precision: Attacks landed within a specific "precision zone" deal critical damage, while hits outside this zone deal reduced damage.

Specific weapons, such as the Dagger and Dual Blades, have received balance adjustments to align with these new core systems, including modified lunge distances and damage multipliers.

Bot Matches and New Player Experience

For those looking to practice, the game now includes bot-supported matches. Players can queue for "Cashout (Bots)" to experience the full three-round tournament format against AI opponents. While these bots are currently in beta and limited to specific maps like Monaco, Bernal, Kyoto, Las Vegas, and SYS$Horizon, they allow players to earn progress toward the Battle Pass and World Tour at a reduced rate.

The onboarding experience has also been revamped. A new tutorial introduces rookie players to the game world via a guided session with the character Dede. This leads into the "Early Talent Program," a dedicated academy screen that offers video tutorials for various game modes and direct access to practice range challenges.

Ranked and Progression Changes

Ranked play in Season 11 introduces personal performance bonuses, allowing players to earn Ranked Score (RS) even in matches where they do not secure a win. The system aims to provide more consistent progression for players in the Silver and Gold tiers. Additionally, the season introduces a new reward structure for the World Tour, where players are guaranteed their league rewards once they reach a specific tier, such as Diamond 4.

Sponsors have seen a significant change in requirements, with fan goals for loyalty tiers reduced by approximately 50%, making it faster to unlock cosmetic rewards before the current system is replaced in Season 12.

Battle Pass and Cross-Promotion

The Season 11 Battle Pass features 106 rewards in the Premium track, including the ability to earn 1575 Multibucks. An Ultimate tier is also available, providing 20 levels of instant progress and additional legendary items. Additionally, a cross-promotion with ARC Raiders allows players to earn the Azimuth Outfit by completing specific contracts in THE FINALS, provided they have linked their Embark ID across both games.
