Team Spirit has officially secured the title of Grand Champions at The International 2026. Following a challenging year, the squad fought through a grueling five-game Grand Finals slugfest in Shanghai to claim the Aegis of Champions.
The Path to Victory in Shanghai
Spirit opened the tournament with a strong Group Stage performance, securing 2-0 victories against Xtreme Gaming and Aurora Gaming, followed by a 2-1 win over Team Liquid. However, losses to Team Vision and Nigma Galaxy blocked an easy path to the main stage and pushed Spirit into elimination play.
After navigating past Team Resilience and Iron Wing, Spirit faced Team Vision once more in the upper bracket, dropping a 1-2 series that sent them down to the Lower Bracket. Refusing to fold, Spirit swept Team Liquid, BoomBoys, and Team Yandex to earn a rematch against Team Vision in the Grand Finals.
The final showdown culminated in a tense hour-long game five, where Team Spirit finally overcame Vision to claim the tournament victory.
The International 2026 Winning Roster
With this victory, three-time winners Illia "Yatoro" Muliarchuk and Magomed "Collapse" Khalilov, alongside two-time winner Denis "Larl" Sigitov, welcome teammates Alexey "not_me" Kosmynin and Alexander "rue" Filin into the championship pantheon.
