System76 has officially revealed the Adder Pro, a new laptop the company is positioning as a “gamer’s dream Linux machine.” Available starting today, the hardware arrives with a focus on high-end display quality and processing power, aiming to serve not just gamers but also content creators and streaming enthusiasts.

System76 CEO Carl Richell noted that the laptop’s design is intended to meet the demanding hardware requirements of modern games and creative tasks. The device features a magnesium-aluminum alloy build and is noted to be 2–3 pounds lighter than the previous Adder WS model.

The Adder Pro centers around the Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor and provides flexible storage options, including a primary M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4x4 SSD slot (up to 4TB) and an additional M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4x4 slot for further upgrades. For connectivity, the machine includes:

Software and Availability

As is standard for System76 hardware, the Adder Pro is built for Linux users. It supports Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS with the new COSMIC desktop environment, as well as Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and 26.04 LTS. The machine is powered by a 60Wh battery and includes a 230W charger.
