Com2uS has rolled out the Summoners War v9.2.8 update on Steam, bringing a wide array of new items, characters, achievements, and quality-of-life adjustments to the PC version of the long-running RPG. Players were advised to return to the Village and exit safely prior to the rollout to prevent data loss during the server patches.

Summon Dice Additions and New Characters

The update introduces seven new items to Summon Dice, unlocked through new achievements and expanding the collection list from 30 to 37 items. Completing each new collection grants one Mystical Scroll. Additionally, three new playable characters are scheduled to roll out sequentially, one per week, starting August 3. Six new upgradable skills and five new bosses that appear at random rates have also been integrated into the feature.

Deck Sharing and Relic Statistics

Managing and sharing team compositions got easier with the new Attack Deck Monster Info Share feature. Summoners can now share attack deck monster information directly in Normal Chat and Guild Chat via a button at the top right of the attack deck edit screen, or through the Community menu for friends.

Furthermore, a Relic engraving statistics feature has been added to the Monster Info and Manage Relic screens, letting players check the Relic engraving status of other Summoners on the same server at a glance.

Early Gameplay and Progression Improvements

Progression quests within Summoner's Way have been revamped. The reward for the [Apply Set Effect] quest increases from a 2★ Wind Fairy x1 to x3. Meanwhile, the [Level Up Skill] quest completes instantly if Light Fairy Queen's skills are already leveled up. Sealed Shrine and Enhancing Monster Storage can now be installed without needing to build the standard Monster Storage first.

Future Pre-Notice and Content Schedule

Com2uS issued a pre-notice regarding the upcoming v9.2.9 update scheduled for August. The feature to load previous Siege Battle Runes and Artifacts from the Manage Rune/Artifact settings menu will be removed as deck presets stabilize. Players who need old Siege Battle rune data are advised to save that information manually before the v9.2.9 patch arrives.

Other active content includes the August boss in the Temple of Chaos running from August 2 to August 9, and the World Arena 2vs2 Team Battle scheduled from August 3 to August 16.
