Current Status of the Steam Autumn Sale
The Steam Autumn Sale 2026 is currently active, providing PC users with a wide range of discounts across the platform's library. This seasonal event, which began on October 1, 2026, is scheduled to conclude on October 8, 2026. During this window, players can access various deals, including a significant number of titles priced at $5 or less.
Understanding the Discounted Catalog
When browsing for budget-friendly titles, users may notice a discrepancy in the number of available deals depending on the tool used. According to SteamDB there are currently over 2,000 games discounted to $5 or less, with their tracking showing a total of 2,105 titles meeting this criteria. Conversely, using the native Steam store internal filter reveals 1,243 games at that same price point. This difference arises because SteamDB tracks a broader database of historical and current store data, whereas the internal store search applies specific storefront visibility rules.
To help you manage your library and find the best value, consider the following breakdown of the current sale environment:
- Sale Duration: Active until October 8, 2026.
- SteamDB Estimate: 2,105 games priced at $5 or less.
- Native Store Filter: 1,243 games priced at $5 or less.
- Additional Features: Seasonal Points Shop items and stickers are available for purchase.
Players looking to maximize their budget should utilize the official Steam store filters to sort by genre, user rating, and release date. While the total count of games under $5 varies based on the tracking method, the sheer volume of discounted content remains substantial. Beyond the game discounts, the Steam Points Shop has been updated with seasonal items and stickers for those looking to customize their profile or chat experience. Ensure you complete your purchases before the sale concludes on October 8 to take advantage of these current price reductions.
