StarSavior Director Lee Sungwon has released the first set of "Mini Dev Notes," outlining significant adjustments and content additions arriving for the PC title throughout August 2026. These changes aim to address player feedback regarding growth progression, UI clarity, and content accessibility.
Key Updates: August 20 and August 27
The development team is prioritizing several quality-of-life and progression updates for the August 20 patch, followed by content expansions on August 27.
Growth and Combat Adjustments
- Star Link Amplification: Starting August 20, growth effects will be enhanced. Players with Star Links above Lv. 200 will see these changes applied retroactively to their Combat Power.
- Difficulty Indicators: The game will move away from a simple "Insufficient Combat Power" display. New multi-stage difficulty indicators will help players gauge battle intensity and understand when stat downscaling thresholds are met.
- Challenge of the Stars EX: The mode will shift from a restriction-selection method to a stage-based system, where boss stats increase and additional restrictions apply as stages progress.
New Features and Content
- Faded Invitation Currency: Arriving August 20, this currency allows players to perform Journeys without consuming Willpower or standard Invitations. While these runs yield no clear rewards, they can be used to generate Stellar Archives and reobserve Blessings.
- Overload Cube Expansion: An evolved system allowing for personalized Replica Code combinations is currently in development, aiming for release during the next three-week event.
- Convenience Improvements: The August 20 update will introduce Arcana lending for guild members, a new Gear Score display for substat evaluation, and improved skip results for Strategy Battles.
Apocalypse Support Pass Revision
Following community feedback, the developer is reverting changes made to the Apocalypse Support Pass. The Arcana Selection Box—previously removed—will be included in the next iteration of the pass, with an expanded list of available Arcana. Players who already purchased the current pass will receive the updated Selection Box retroactively. Specific details regarding the included Arcana are scheduled for release in the upcoming Thursday patch notes.
Looking ahead, the development team confirmed that the "Observation for Sunshine Cat: Smile" event will begin next week, accompanied by an expansion to Hunt Quests and rebalancing of negative events within Journeys.
