Piraknights Games and publisher Team17 have released the first major post-launch update for Sintopia, bringing new logistics tools and quality-of-life adjustments to the hell-themed management simulator. Titled “Imployee Retention,” the update became available today, July 27, on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Quick Facts

  • Game: Sintopia
  • Update Name: Imployee Retention
  • Release Date: July 27, 2026
  • Platforms: PC (Steam, Epic Games Store)
  • Developer: Piraknights Games

New Management Tools and Features

In Sintopia, players operate Hell Incorporated as middle managers processing sinners, resurrecting the worthy, and addressing violations of the seven deadly sins. The Imployee Retention update introduces specific mechanics designed to streamline the flow of souls through the underworld.

A new feature called the Souls Gate regulates the movement of spirits to keep them traveling efficiently toward their correct destinations. Additionally, two tools—the Ground Flattener and the Souls Relocator—allow players to clear obstacles and reroute souls back to the central hub without the need to rebuild roads. Alongside these additions, the patch includes a range of quality-of-life changes detailed in the official patch notes.

Player Impact and Pricing

For players managing complex sin-processing facilities and infrastructure networks, the new routing and clearing tools directly address logistics bottlenecks, reducing the overhead of redesigning road layouts. To coincide with the update's launch, the base game is currently discounted by 20% for a limited time through August 10.
