Developer SavySoda has launched a Thunderbirds crossover event for Pixel Starships, bringing classic characters, ships, and gear from the 1965 ITV Studios series into the space simulation game. The update went live on August 23, 2026, across Steam Deck, Linux, Mac, and Windows PC.

Rescue Event Features and Passive Cleanse Skill
Licensed through Zoo 55, the crossover centers around a rescue theme that introduces a strong new passive skill for crew members. During normal ship operations, repair and attack actions automatically clear all negative status effects from the vessel, including fires, EMP effects, and poison, without requiring manual activation from the player.
Players can recruit six familiar figures from the series, including Lady Penelope, Brains, Scott Tracy, Virgil Tracy, Alan Tracy, and The Hood. Alongside the character roster, the update introduces Thunderbird 2 as a commandable ship hull and Thunderbird 5 as the game's first collaborative Starbase design.
Gear and Equipment Rewards
Participants can also earn event-specific gear items, such as the Hover Pack, Telecall Communicator Beacon, and the Starpoint Percolator coffee gear. The game is free to download on Steam, with support verified for Linux and Steam Deck devices through the platform.
