Grinding Gear Games has opened a new fan art competition for the Path of Exile community. The event invites players to create still art—including paintings, drawings, or models—based on themes from the Return of the Ancients (Path of Exile 2) or Curse of the Allflame (Path of Exile 1) expansions.
Competition Rules and Deadlines
To participate, all submissions must be original work created after the start of the competition. The developer has explicitly prohibited AI-generated art, noting that they reserve the right to disqualify entries suspected of using such tools. Multiple submissions from a single creator are permitted and encouraged.
The submission window closes on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:00 PM PDT. Any work submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
Prizes and Recognition
The prize pool includes a mix of physical merchandise and digital in-game assets. Winners will be selected for several tiers, with rewards including:
- Top Three Winners: A custom forum avatar, developer-signed posters, Path of Exile apparel, collectible pins, themed desk accessories, and a choice of in-game Armour, Portal, and Footprints effects.
- 4th–5th Place: A selection of physical merchandise and the same choice of in-game aesthetic effects.
- 6th–10th Place: Select physical items plus a choice of Portal and Footprints effects.
- 11th–20th Place: A choice of Portal and Footprints effects.
- Runners-Up: A Curse of the Allflame Mystery Box.
Grinding Gear Games stated that they may increase the prize pool if the competition receives an overwhelming number of high-quality submissions.
