Pocketpair has turned down a significant number of crossover proposals for Palworld to ensure brand partnerships remain aligned with the survival game's identity. According to head of publishing and communications John 'Bucky' Buckley, the developer has rejected or scrapped numerous collaborations because the proposed ideas simply did not fit the creatures-with-guns title.
While industry crossovers have grown common across multiplayer games, Buckley emphasized in an August 2026 social media post that Pocketpair maintains strict standards for what enters the game. "If it really doesn't make sense then obviously we would never go ahead with it," Buckley stated, adding that players might not realize the sheer volume of partnerships that have been turned away.
Which Crossovers Made the Cut?
When collaborations do happen, Pocketpair leans into additions that match the gameplay and setting. Past crossover efforts highlight this fun-first approach, such as the Terraria integration—which brought creatures and items like the legendary Meowmere weapon to the Palpagos Islands. Similarly, an UltraKill crossover slotted into the game smoothly because its armaments, such as the Marksman Revolver, matched the existing pool of makeshift shotguns and laser rifles already available to PC players.
