Netflix has shut down two more internal game studios, closing Moonloot—which had not yet released a game—and Night School, the developer behind Oxenfree and the recently released interactive movie game Unhinged.

The closures follow a series of cuts to Netflix's gaming division. In 2024, the company shut down Team Blue, which had been developing a first-person shooter. In October, Netflix closed Boss Fight, and in December 2025, it sold cozy game studio Spry Fox back to its founders. Contractor studio Refactor Games also faced layoffs affecting 85% of its staff after Netflix ended funding for its FIFA project handled by Delphi Interactive.
Despite the studio closures, Netflix stated that games remain an opportunity to expand entertainment options for members. The company indicated it is prioritizing cloud games and kids games moving forward, leading to ongoing organizational changes to match those priorities.
