Following the box office success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Insomniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has experienced a significant increase in engagement. New data from Alinea Analytics reports that the game has sold an additional 316,000 copies across PlayStation 5 and Steam in less than two weeks, generating $11 million in revenue.

Player Engagement and Sales Milestones

The title reached 1 million daily active users this past weekend for the first time since its initial launch window nearly three years ago. This represents a 2.6x increase in daily engagement compared to pre-film levels. Total lifetime sales for the title now stand at 18.2 million copies, with 92% of those units sold on PlayStation 5.

New Content Additions

The surge in interest follows a well-timed update that introduced two new suits to the game. Among the additions is the costume featured by Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. With these latest additions, players now have access to a total of 92 different suits within the game.

Future Releases

While Marvel's Spider-Man 2 continues to see increased activity, developer Insomniac is currently preparing for the release of Marvel’s Wolverine, which is scheduled to launch in September 2026. As of now, there is no film tie-in scheduled to release alongside that title.
