iRacing has released its 2026 Season 3 Patch 3 (version 2026.07.10.04), bringing a suite of technical improvements, car-specific adjustments, and a fresh way to test upcoming race control features. The update is available now for PC users.

Quick Facts

  • Release Version: 2026.07.10.04
  • Key Feature: Introduction of the "iTested" series for multi-class multi-pace car starts.
  • New Languages: Added Japanese (COEIROINK_Aoba) and Romanian spotter packs.
  • Graphics: Fixed an issue where AMD cards were overly aggressive with mip texture tossing.

Race Control and Simulation Updates

The standout addition in this patch is an early implementation of a multi-class, multi-pace car race start system. iRacing is inviting users to help collect data on this feature through a limited-time “iTested” Official iRacing Series. Participants will receive an “iTested” account badge for their contribution, and the resulting telemetry will help the team determine a timeline for a full, system-wide rollout.

Other simulation fixes include resolving a bug where the simulator incorrectly reported team and driver lap counts during driver-swap sessions. Additionally, a crash that occurred during the transition from Open Practice to Race sessions has been addressed, and timing ghost drivers should now be visible again.

Spotter and UI Enhancements

Communication in the cockpit sees several quality-of-life updates. The spotter code has been adjusted to prevent the spotter from potentially quitting after a driver swap, and new spotter packs for Japanese and Romanian languages are now available. The Ukraine-Vitaliy_Chizhuk pack has also been updated, alongside refined call timings for Italian and Spanish.

On the interface side, a fix has been deployed for the Relative and Standings black boxes, which were previously failing to initialize their heights correctly.

Vehicle-Specific Changes

The patch addresses several mechanical and display issues across the car roster:

  • GT3 Class: Resolved discrepancies between SDK-reported Traction Control values and in-car black box displays. Setups have been updated to reflect these changes.
  • NASCAR Cup Series Gen 7: Pit stop times have been tuned to better align with real-world 9 to 10-second four-tire changes.
  • BMW M4 GT3: The gearbox intercooler size was increased to show lower TGEAR temperatures on the dash.
  • BMW M Hybrid V8: Updated with the (EVO) designation and corrected decal placements.
  • Skip Barber Formula 2000: Fixed a damage model issue where front wing endplates would remain floating after the main wing detached.

Track-specific updates include improved race control sensitivity regarding pit exit course cuts at Daytona International Speedway, and a fix for the Start/Finish booth and bridge at Mid-Ohio, which will no longer disappear at lower visual detail settings.
