Activision has introduced a time-sensitive challenge for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 that offers a unique, serialized weapon skin. The first 100,000 players to complete the Gilded Pearl Camo Pack challenge will earn the Serialized Gilded Ruin Camo, featuring a unique serial number based on the order of completion.
How to Qualify
To participate, you must pre-order either the Standard or Vault Edition of Modern Warfare 4. Doing so prior to July 23, 2026, and the launch of Black Ops 7 Season 05, grants you the Gilded Pearl Camo Pack and access to the challenge. While pre-orders placed after this date still grant access to the challenge, your chances of securing one of the first 100,000 serialized items will be significantly lower.
The Gilded Pearl Challenge: How to Earn 5,000 Skulls
The core of the challenge involves accumulating 5,000 Skulls across various game modes. Your progress is tracked as a single total, allowing you to switch between modes to reach the goal. Points are awarded per elimination at the following rates:
- Warzone: 30 Skulls per elimination
- Multiplayer: 10 Skulls per elimination
- Endgame: 5 Skulls per elimination
- Zombies: 1 Skull per elimination
The challenge officially begins on July 23, 2026, at 12:00 PM PDT (3:00 PM EDT / 8:00 PM BST). Once you hit the 5,000-Skull threshold, you will claim the Gilded Ruin Universal Camo. If you are among the first 100,000 to reach this milestone, the item will be stamped with your unique serial number.
Cross-Game Availability
The Gilded Ruin Universal Camo is designed to be used in Black Ops 7 immediately upon unlocking. Furthermore, the skin—along with the Moonlit Pearl Universal Camo included in the pre-order pack—will be available in Modern Warfare 4 starting on its release date, October 23, 2026. Pre-ordering also provides one week of early access to the Modern Warfare 4 beta, beginning August 21, 2026.
