The figure marks a successful opening for the remake, notably surpassing the first-day performance of Assassin's Creed Shadows, which recorded one million players during its own debut.

To mark the milestone, brand head Martin Schelling thanked the player base for their support. “Black Flag has always held a special place in the heart of the community, and ours,” Schelling stated. “Bringing it back with Resynced was a promise to that passion for Edward’s adventures... seeing so many players set sail on day one, along with the great reviews from critics, is the greatest reward we could have hoped for.”

As a gesture of appreciation, Ubisoft has released a redemption code for the community. By visiting the official Ubisoft website, players can claim a set of Crimson Storm sails and 1,500 Animus Keys to use within the game's Animus Hub. The code provided is ACBF-PHGN-SYBJ-RTRF.

The commercial performance of Black Flag Resynced carries potential weight for the series' future.
