Indie co-op hit How to Fish reached a peak concurrent player count of 373,971 on Steam just five days after its release, according to data from SteamDB. The self-published PC game comes from Swedish indie studio Dazed Games.
How to Fish Player Numbers Compared
The micro-budget release has drawn numbers comparable to major studio multiplayer launches. For comparison, co-op game Peak reached an all-time peak of 170,759 concurrent players on Steam roughly a year after its 2025 release. Meanwhile, another peer title, Big Walk, holds an all-time peak of 46,409 concurrent players across its supported platforms.
Unlike several other popular co-op titles on Valve's platform, How to Fish is entirely self-published by Dazed Games without external publishing backing. Current player metrics track exclusively through Steam, with server stability ongoing as the studio handles the influx of players.
