If the sight of a natural disaster sends shivers down your spine, you might want to look away—or perhaps dive straight in. Supernova Studios has officially launched Funnel Runners, a new online co-op survival game for PC that pits you and your friends against the raw power of nature.
Quick Facts
- Developer: Supernova Studios
- Platform: PC (via Steam)
- Release Date: July 16, 2026 (Early Access)
- Player Count: Up to 8 players
Surviving the Storm
The core of Funnel Runners is simple but frantic: you find yourself trapped in a typical American suburb while a massive tornado—or potentially several—hunts you down. Framed as a survival horror experience, the goal is to scavenge the town for essential components, such as spare tires and engine oil, to get your escape van back in working order. The weather itself acts as the primary antagonist, capable of tracking you across the map.
You won't be entirely defenseless. Players have access to a suite of tools, including flashlights for navigating dark buildings, a radar to track the movement of the funnel clouds, and a defibrillator to revive teammates who fall during the chaos. Be warned, however: the environment is hostile beyond the wind. You'll need to contend with lightning, fire, and the threat of full-blown hurricanes forming as the intensity of the game ramps up.
Early Access Roadmap
According to Supernova Studios, the game is currently in a fully playable state. They have opted for an early access model specifically to allow the community to help shape the game's evolution over the coming year. Development plans currently include adding new mission types, weather events, hazards, and more complex progression systems.
If you're ready to test your luck against the elements, you can pick up Funnel Runners on Steam now.
