Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite's popular Pokémon-like Sprites are sticking around for the upcoming season, backed by a wave of new features, quality-of-life updates, and community-designed additions.

Sprites first arrived at the start of the current season, introducing collectible creatures that players can trade, level up, and use to increase their power. The feature has driven a notable boost in the game's player count. To build on that momentum, Epic Games is launching the Sprite Garden experience in Chapter 7 Season 4, allowing players to display Gen 1 and Gen 2 Sprites and visit friends' gardens.
Alongside the new creatures, the developer promises new powers and quality-of-life improvements based on direct player feedback, plus new ways to discover Sprites both inside and outside of matches. Epic Games vice president Mark Rein has also offered a single teaser word for the incoming season: "Hackers."
