If you have spent enough time in Fallout: New Vegas, you have likely run into plenty of characters willing to pay for a contract kill. A new mod, however, formalizes that criminal lifestyle by introducing a full assassin-focused faction directly inspired by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion's Dark Brotherhood.

The mod, titled Twilight Eternal, acts as a "transplantation and re-interpretation" of the iconic Oblivion faction into the post-apocalyptic Mojave. It includes a custom base, a dedicated questline, and a series of optional, repeatable assassination contracts.

Quick Facts

  • Mod Name: Twilight Eternal
  • Developer: ColdTyrant
  • Key Features: Custom questline, player home reward, and approximately 10,000 combinations of radiant assassination contracts.
  • Integration: Mr. Burke serves as the faction's recruiter, visiting the player after their first innocent kill.

The creator behind the project, ColdTyrant, is already known for adding similar faction-based radiant quests to Oblivion Remastered. In Twilight Eternal, the modder has repurposed Mr. Burke—the infamous Tenpenny Tower resident—to fill the role of a post-apocalyptic Lucien Lachance. Once a player kills their first innocent mark, Burke appears while the player is sleeping to invite them to the Dark Family’s bunker.

Beyond the primary questline, which rewards players with a new home upon completion, the mod features an infinite loop of standalone murder contracts. ColdTyrant claims these offer roughly 10,000 different combinations of targets, locations, and bonus objectives.

For those interested in the technical side of the mod, there are two distinct download options available. One version utilizes ElevenLabs AI to generate voiced dialogue for the new characters. The second version provides blank audio files, displaying only soundless subtitles, specifically for players who prefer to avoid AI-generated content. Installation is handled by placing the files into the Fallout: New Vegas data folder or via a preferred mod manager.
