Escaping the Vitromotus

In Emberville, players awake in a state of confusion within an endless prison known as the Vitromotus. Designed as a magical confinement for those a past society deemed unwanted, the prison has been reshaped over time by an energy source called “kymia.” This mysterious power, born from human emotions, has brought about bizarre monsters and strange biomes within the prison's walls.

The core gameplay loop centers on carving a path to freedom while aiding other prisoners. As you explore forgotten tunnels and ruins, you will have the opportunity to rescue denizens of a once-thriving town. These rescued characters provide assistance, share secrets, and offer unique teachings as you work to rebuild their home.

Combat and Character Progression

Combat in Emberville emphasizes positioning, timing, and tactical knowledge. Players can utilize a variety of weapons, each featuring unique combos, and experiment with different combat classes. These classes can be switched at any time, allowing players to inherit passive and active skills to build a combat style that suits their personal preferences.

Beyond battle, the game features a heavy emphasis on customization and crafting. You can:

  • Customize your character: Adjust facial features, hair, and colors.
  • Build your estate: Design a personal living space in Emberville with furniture and decorations.
  • Gather and Craft: Collect materials to forge equipment, potions, food, and tools.

As you progress, your deeds will directly shape the town, turning it from a ravaged settlement into a living hub. The experience is designed to reward exploration and rebuilding efforts alongside traditional combat challenges.
