Wizards of the Coast has officially opened pre-orders for Arcana Unleashed, a new high-magic expansion for Dungeons & Dragons. The expansion, which focuses on enhancing the experience for spellcasters and Dungeon Masters, is set to launch on September 15, 2026.

Expansion Details and Bundles
Arcana Unleashed is designed to support campaigns centered around high-level spellcasters. The core book provides tools for Dungeon Masters to introduce world-altering magical threats and factions into their games. For those seeking a comprehensive experience, the Arcana Unleashed Ultimate Bundle offers both digital and physical versions of the core book alongside two additional products:
- Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall: A high-level adventure that takes players to the fractured magocracy of Thay to face the lich Szass Tam.
- Arcana Unleashed Magical Map Pack: A collection of 10 illustrated tactical maps, monster tokens, traps, and arcane terrain pieces specifically crafted for magic-focused combat.
Dungeon Masters Campaign 2
The launch of the expansion coincides with the second season of Dungeon Masters, the official actual-play series from Wizards of the Coast. Set in the Forgotten Realms, the new season features a narrative inspired by the magic introduced in Arcana Unleashed.
The story follows the Order of the Ninth Quill as they navigate the Anauroch Desert, an area still scarred by the fall of Netheril. The plot pits the party against the Red Wizards of Thay and the Bringers of the Cosmic Dawn, who are vying for power behind a failing magical barrier. This season ties directly into the Deadfall adventure included in the Ultimate Bundle.
