Update 1.0.4 for DragonSword : Awakening has officially dropped on PC, delivering a massive wave of bug fixes, control adjustments, and economy tweaks. Developed to smooth out rough edges discovered since launch, this patch addresses quest-breaking progression bugs, cleans up translation errors, and ramps up rewards for World Bosses and Sudden Missions.
Quick Facts
- Game: DragonSword : Awakening
- Platform: PC
- Patch Version: 1.0.4
- Key Additions: Gold Shop now stocks lowest-grade crafting materials; increased World Boss EXP and item drops.
Combat Adjustments and Control Fixes
Combat mechanics receive several tune-ups in update 1.0.4. Roxy's 3rd Awakening sees an adjusted Aerial Re-jump cooldown, dropping from 3 seconds down to 1.5 seconds, alongside a fix allowing consecutive Air Stomps in place. Dana's Chako Spin no longer consumes Summon Chako's rage incorrectly, and her jump attack skill Freezy Pop receives a corrected tooltip. Other combat fixes ensure Eileen's Barraging Spear properly applies the Airborne status effect to enemies, and dismounting the Abyssal Direwolf no longer triggers unintended fall damage when re-mounting or boost-jumping.
Economy, Shop Additions, and World Boss Rewards
Players looking to farm crafting materials will find new options at the Gold Shop. Lowest-Grade Monster Essence, Hide, Bone Fragment, Carapace, and Claw are now available for purchase.
Furthermore, defeating World Bosses yields significantly higher returns. Mid-tier and high-end bosses now grant increased Mercenary Corps EXP alongside valuable items:
- Horg the Roamer, Andras the Cave Predator, Pakirus the Specter of Thirst: Mercenary Corps EXP 800, Adventurer's Emblem ×35
- Scraping Brack, Karon the Tyrant, Hagen the Dark Necromancer: Mercenary Corps EXP 1200, Chronograph of Ages ×3
- Hungry Eye Octavia, Lavanis Feather of Burning Ashes, Barpedin the Crushing Darkness: Mercenary Corps EXP 1600, Fragment of Memory ×50
Additionally, Sudden Mission rewards have been increased to grant Fragment of Sacred Light ×60.
Quest Progression and System Fixes
A multitude of quest blockers and progression halts have been cleared out. Adventure Quest 48 (Siege) no longer freezes on a black screen after cutscenes, and Adventure Quest 35 (Steelheart Fortress) and Adventure Quest 59 (Tomb of Greed) have had their movement bugs and icon mix-ups resolved. Area Quests that stalled out if Igniter Snickrak was defeated too early can now be completed normally, and missing NPCs in the Weldon Area Quest and Dana's Hero Quest have returned to their proper spots.
System-side adjustments resolve an issue preventing controller environments from toggling refresh rates above 120Hz, fix depth of field option application, and restore proper skill description scrolling in the Hero Codex.
