Nintendo Switch 2 owners have reason to be optimistic about the platform's technical capabilities. In a recent interview with, Dragon's Dogma 2 producer Naoto Oyama revealed that development on the Switch 2 version is currently going better than the team anticipated.

"It's a little while to go until the game releases, but it's exceeding our expectations on Switch 2," Oyama said. He noted that the team’s efforts to optimize the game for other consoles have directly contributed to the success of the Switch 2 port.
According to Oyama, the studio has been working to improve the base game versions across all platforms. This includes a roadmap for a late August title update aimed at enabling a 60 frames-per-second target for Performance Mode on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The technical progress made for those platforms is paying off for the Switch 2 development, ensuring the game runs smoothly on the new hardware.
Dark Arisen Expansion Details
The upcoming Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen will package the base game with its expansion. For players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the expansion will also be available as a standalone purchase starting October 9.
