Long Void Games and publisher Loopr Partners have officially pulled the curtain back on Dieathlon, a new first-person action title that tasks players with surviving a high-speed descent down a treacherous mountain. The gameplay loop centers on constant movement, mixing reflex-heavy navigation with intense combat.
High-Speed Downhill Survival
In Dieathlon, the mountain itself is your greatest adversary. Players must navigate frozen slopes while fending off monstrous creatures and dodging environmental hazards. The developers emphasize that speed and precision are equally important; you aren't just trying to reach the bottom, you are trying to do so while blasting through obstacles and maintaining momentum.

Branching Paths and Combat Variety
The game is designed with high replayability in mind. Every run down the mountain offers branching routes, allowing players to discover hidden paths and encounter unique environments. As you venture deeper, you’ll face increasingly dangerous challenges, including massive leviathans lurking beneath frozen waters and narrow, enemy-infested passages.
To handle these threats, the game features a growing arsenal of weaponry. While the shotgun is your primary companion, the game supports more heavy-duty firepower, including rapid-fire gatling guns. Further customization is handled through a perk system, which allows players to combine different effects to alter their playstyle and build during each individual run.
If you want to test your reflexes on the mountain, the Dieathlon demo is available to download now via the game's official Steam store page.
