Valve has expanded the roster of software for its upcoming Steam Frame headset, granting the "Great on Frame" certification to three distinct VR titles: Deadly Delivery, Growrilla, and Stellar Cafe. This designation confirms that these games have been verified to run effectively as standalone applications, removing the need for a tethered PC setup.
New Great on Frame Titles
The following games are the latest to receive the official stamp of approval for standalone play:
- Deadly Delivery: Developed by Flat Head Studio, this is a chaotic co-op horror title focused on delivering parcels within haunted mines. Players must navigate traps and monsters to meet their delivery quotas or face termination.
- Growrilla VR: A procedurally generated "eat-em-up" from Salmi Games. Players begin as a small ape scavenging for survival on an island, eventually evolving into a giant capable of widespread destruction.
- Stellar Cafe: An interactive experience from AstroBeam, led by Job Simulator co-creator Devin Reimer. The game features AI-powered robots that respond in real-time to user voice input via the headset microphone.
Technical and Playability Details
While Deadly Delivery and Growrilla are focused on the VR experience, Stellar Cafe offers additional flexibility. It is confirmed as a hybrid title, allowing players to experience it in either flatscreen or VR modes.
