Pearl Abyss has released Crimson Desert patch 1.14.00, introducing a highly requested feature to the open-world adventure: cross-save functionality. The update is now live across all platforms, allowing players to carry their progress between PC and consoles.

Quick Facts

  • Patch Version: 1.14.00
  • Feature Added: Cross-save support between PC and consoles
  • Requirement: A linked Pearl Abyss ID
  • Limitation: Paid items (Deluxe Pack) do not transfer between platforms

If you own the game on multiple platforms—for example, both PC and PS5—you can now utilize a single save file rather than maintaining separate adventures. To enable this, you must link your Pearl Abyss ID to the accounts you intend to use for the game, such as your PlayStation Network account. According to the developer, players are limited to one cross-save slot per Pearl Abyss ID, though you are free to link and unlink accounts as needed.

Important Restrictions for Paid Content

While the cross-save feature provides flexibility, it does not include the transfer of paid digital content. Pearl Abyss has clarified that any items included in the Deluxe Pack are tied to the platform where they were purchased. If you load your save file on a platform where you haven't bought these items, they will appear as disabled. To access those specific items on a different platform, you will need to purchase them separately for that version of the game.

The developer reiterated that this feature is designed for players who own multiple copies of Crimson Desert. It does not grant cross-platform ownership; for instance, owning the game on Steam does not provide access to the Xbox version. Beyond the cross-save implementation, the latest patch also includes a variety of general bug fixes and stability improvements.
