Blizzard is overhauling the Overwatch battle pass system, replacing the current 80-tier progression with a modular format. Producer director Chris McCabe confirmed in a blog post that the update is scheduled to arrive tomorrow, August 11.
New Battle Pass Structure
The primary change replaces the single, linear 80-tier progression with five distinct reward tracks. Players will have the ability to choose which of these tracks they wish to progress through at any given time. According to the developer, the goal is to provide a more flexible progression experience compared to the previous model.
