Bugfight Studio has announced that its upcoming title, Beetleball, is set to launch on PC on August 20, 2026. The game, which focuses on momentum-based movement and soccer mechanics, tasks players with controlling beetles to compete in high-energy matches involving multiple balls simultaneously.

Gameplay Mechanics and Modes
At its core, Beetleball centers on competitive soccer-style matches. The developer describes the title as being “easy to get good, hard to master,” relying on physics-driven movement. Players can choose from over 14 unique bug classes, each equipped with flashy abilities to help control the flow of the game.
Matches support up to 12 players at once, allowing for 6v6 team play. The experience is designed to support both casual and competitive playstyles, featuring ranked and unranked matchmaking, as well as the option for players to set up custom lobbies. To aid communication during matches, the game includes built-in proximity voice chat.
Customization and Content
Beyond the competitive field, the game provides various ways for players to customize their beetles. One notable feature highlighted by the studio is the ability to equip characters with a variety of “silly looking” hats.
At launch, the game will include more than eight unique maps and support for alternate game modes, ensuring a variety of environments and rulesets. The title is confirmed to have native Linux support, catering to the platform’s player base.
