A pair of Baldur's Gate 3 PC players have taken the game's ultimate freedom to its logical, macabre extreme by eliminating every single NPC across Faerûn and storing their bodies in a single camp chest. Nearly three years after its initial launch, Larian Studios' RPG continues to surface wildly creative and chaotic player runs.

The All-NPC Elimination Run

On Wednesday, July 22, Matt 'spectraIarrow' shared details of the run on X, writing that they and a friend had been working through an elimination playthrough where every person encountered is killed and brought back to camp. Reaching the end of Act 1, the sheer volume of bodies has caused noticeable game lag when opening the Traveller's Chest.

The resulting stockpile includes the entire Tiefling grove—including Wyll—alongside Karlach's severed head, inhabitants of the Goblin Camp, and Halsin. The unorthodox playstyle naturally created immediate consequences for their characters. "I had this whole idea for an Oath of Devotion Paladin whose guardian I made look like Lathander," Matt noted. "That oath broke QUICK and now the dream guardian visits are a bit awkward."

Larian Studios Responds

Following coverage of the run across social media, Larian CEO Swen Vincke reacted to the feat, reposting a Dexerto video of the chest full of corpses with the comment, "we should've made that an achievement - real funny."
