Embark Studios has launched the ARC Raiders update 1.39 across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, bringing a cross-game summer celebration with The Finals alongside important adjustments to player matchmaking.

Matchmaking Adjustments for Defensive Combat
Matchmaking improvements are being tested over a three-week trial period starting today. Building on earlier adjustments made on May 20 which lessened the impact of defensive actions, the new update ensures that defensive moves have no influence whatsoever on a player's playstyle estimate.
If another raider ambushes or initiates combat with you, defending yourself will not place you into future games with player killers. Embark Studios is collecting player feedback via an official survey during the trial period to monitor how the changes affect player behavior.
The Finals Crossover and The Dweller Set
The update introduces Embark's cross-game summer celebration linking ARC Raiders and The Finals. Through July 30, players can complete specific contracts inside The Finals to unlock the Azimuth outfit and Archeologist backpack bundle for use in ARC Raiders.
Following that event, from July 30 through August 20, players who log three hours in ARC Raiders will earn the Azimuth Bundle in The Finals. Additionally, the new Dweller Set has been added to the in-game store rotation, featuring the Dweller outfit alongside extra cosmetic items, alongside general quality of life fixes and bug corrections.
