Following the release of the latest patch, players noted that the "SKIPPY" text on the Mythic Alternator skin was appearing in a mirrored format. Respawn addressed this in the official notes, confirming it was not an intentional design choice.
The developers noted that they are selective regarding which weapons receive high levels of granular detail due to the inherent complexity involved in texturing and managing various weapon skins. Despite this complexity, the team confirmed they are actively working on a fix to correct the orientation of the text and will share more information once the resolution is ready.
Recent Anti-Cheat Efforts
This technical patch follows a series of recent announcements from the Apex Legends team regarding game integrity. Earlier this week, on July 13, the team reported that they had executed nearly 6,000 hardware bans across PC and console platforms since the end of April. Additionally, on July 9, the developers issued a formal notice that the use of “jitter aim” or RC filters to exploit aim assist and negate recoil on controllers is now officially classified as cheating.
