Takashi Iizuka, head of Sonic Team, has confirmed that the ongoing 35th-anniversary celebration for Sonic the Hedgehog still has unrevealed projects in development. While the studio has already rolled out several updates and releases throughout 2026, Iizuka stated in a recent interview that more surprises are scheduled to be revealed.
"Some announcements have already been made, while other surprises will need to remain secret for a little longer," Iizuka noted, adding that the team aims to recognize every era of the character's history. He confirmed that the remaining plans include a mix of games, music, merchandise, and other collaborations.
