Nintendo's Korean branch has announced a physical packaged download release for the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass on Nintendo Switch 2, arriving on September 10, 2026. Pre-orders are currently live on the local Nintendo Store.
Quick Facts
- Game / Add-on: Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass
- Platform: Nintendo Switch 2
- Release Date: September 10, 2026 (Korea)
- Format: Physical game case containing an eShop download code (no game card included)
Package Details and Availability
While the base game originally launched earlier in 2026 as a Game-Key Card release, the upcoming DLC package handles distribution differently. Official store details clarify that the box does not contain a physical game card. Instead, buyers receive a software download code that must be registered on the Nintendo eShop using a Nintendo Switch 2 console.
At present, Nintendo has not announced plans to release this physical download box for the Expansion Pass outside of the Korean market.
Expansion Pass Roadmap
The DLC rollout kicked off with 'Bubbly Basin' earlier this month alongside the deployment of the major Version 2.0.0 free software update. Nintendo's release schedule indicates that a second wave of DLC will follow later this year, with a third and final part scheduled to arrive in 2027.
