Nintendo and Hasbro have officially announced a partnership to manufacture and produce toys based on The Legend of Zelda franchise. The collaboration, confirmed by Hasbro on July 16, 2026, aims to bring the world of Hyrule to life through a new collection of action and role-play products.
Quick Facts
- Partner: Hasbro
- Franchise: The Legend of Zelda
- Retail Launch: 2027
- First Showcase: San Diego Comic Con (Week of July 16, 2026)
Since the series arrived in the United States in 1987, The Legend of Zelda has been defined by its focus on exploration, discovery, and the recurring conflict between Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf. Hasbro's new initiative intends to translate these core pillars of Nintendo’s storytelling into physical play experiences.
“For decades, The Legend of Zelda franchise has captivated fans through its deep lore, unforgettable characters and enduring sense of discovery. By combining Nintendo’s iconic storytelling with Hasbro’s leadership in action and role-play, we’re delivering toys that invite fans to play, explore and forge their own epic adventures,” stated Hasbro regarding the announcement.
While full product details are currently limited, fans won't have to wait long for a first look. Both companies confirmed that the initial fruits of their collaboration will be displayed at San Diego Comic Con next week. The product line is currently slated for a retail release in 2027.
This partnership follows a January 2026 announcement in which former Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser joined the Hasbro board of directors. The two companies have previously collaborated on gaming-adjacent products, such as the Monopoly Gamer edition.
